dc.description.abstracten The paper examines the assessment of landslide slope safety during drilling and blasting operations aimed at eliminating rockfall along the Bilovartsi – Dobrianske – «Oblazy» road section. A calculation of the intensity of seismic blast waves and shear stresses in the soil mass of the slope is presented. It is shown that, when the recommended blasting parameters are followed, the stability of the landslide slope is ensured with a sufficient safety margin. Carrying out drilling and blasting operations in areas prone to landslide processes requires substantiation of blasting parameters with consideration of their seismic impact on the soil mass, since uncontrolled dynamic loading may lead to slope instability. Based on the analysis of technical documentation of drilling and blasting operations, a study was conducted using analytical relationships to determine the particle velocity of soil displacement and the corresponding shear stresses in the slope mass at the experimental section of the Bilovartsi – Dobrianske – «Oblazy» road. The calculations take into account charge parameters, placement conditions, detonation direction, and the physical and mechanical properties of soils. As a result of the obtained relationships between soil particle velocity in the protected object and shear stresses in loams versus the distance to the nearest end of a distributed charge, it was established that the particle velocity amounts to 2.44 cm/s at the beginning of the slope, 1.34 cm/s in the middle part, and 0.85 cm/s in the final section, corresponding to shear stresses of 0.22, 0.12, and 0.076 kg/cm², respectively. It is shown that these values are significantly lower than the ultimate shear strength of the soil (0.93 kg/cm²), which ensures a safety margin for slope stability. Additionally, it was established that the intensity of the seismic blast impact is lower than the normative seismicity of the region, which corresponds to 7 points on the MSK-64 scale. Under practical conditions, compliance with the parameters of drilling and blasting operations and the use of short-delay blasting with detonation directed away from the protected object were ensured, confirming that the blast impact does not lead to the development of landslide processes and does not compromise slope stability. uk_UA
